PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A World-renowned hatter, Trent Johson, will perform hat fittings and consultations during Labor Day Weekend at Stages West in Pigeon Forge.

Johnson, who has made custom hats for President George W. Bush, The Band Perry, and Craig Campbell, to name a few, uses a conformator to hand shape hats custom to each persons head.

"We can actually steam that hat to the exact shape that you would like. Not only that you would like but that would look good with your facial features and body type," said Johnson.

Johnson says it's important for your hat to be stored with a custom mold as well.

"So you're sweating a lot in that hat or it gets very wet; the leather band will tend to shrink up." he said.

"So by putting this in there it retains the shape of your head, unlike a stretcher that just makes it one shape. This is keeping it molded to the exact shape of your head," Johnson said.

Johnson will be in Pigeon Forge Saturday, August 30 from 11a.m. - 7p.m.
