BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) -- Two Tennessee players are on this week's Southeastern Conference Players of the Week list.

Defensive honors go to UT linebacker Jerod Mayo. The junior from Hampton, Virginia, recorded a career-high 19 tackles. Eleven were solos. Mayo also was credited with 1.5 losses, sharing a sack and a pass deflection in Tennessee's 52-50 four-overtime victory over Kentucky.

Defensive back Eric Berry wins freshman honors this week. Berry tallied a career-best 14 tackles -- seven of them solos -- with a pass deflection in Tennessee's win at Kentucky.

Berry leads all conference freshmen with 76 total tackles.

Tennessee's defense was on the field for 110 Kentucky plays.
