Alcoa, Mo' West pick up wins on Saturday

MORRISTOWN, Tenn. - Morristown West jumped out to a quick lead on West Greene and never looked back, winning 58-0. Junior tailback DeAndre Delaney led the way with 4 rushing touchdowns for the Trojans. Morristown West will be tested next week as they hit the road to Greeneville.

Alcoa picked up their second win in 3 days with a 42-14 victory over Morristown East. Jaquez Tyson got the scoring started with an impressive touchdown run that included hurdling a defender. But the Hurricanes responded with a Chris Logan touchdown of their own to cut the lead to 8-7 in the first quarter. The Tornadoes opened it up in the 2nd quarter to take a 30-7 halftime lead thanks to three first half TDs from Tyson. Alcoa next faces Maryville on Friday in a game you can watch on WVLT at 7:00 pm. Morristown East hosts William Blount next Friday.
