CTK: Loudon Redskins

LOUDON, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Loudon heads into a new season ready to rebound from an injury-plagued 2013.

The Redskins were decimated with injuries last fall, leading to an un-Loudon like 3-7.

But with nine starters returning on offense and defense, Loudon is optimistic that 2014 will be a turnaround year.

"For us with nine starters on both sides of the ball back, it's great for us because we don't have any people that don't know what they're doing," quarterback Travis Brewer said.

Redskins head coach Jeff Harig says Loudon's success will start with its talented skill position players.

"I think they all have a chance to play at a college level," Harig said.

"So our job is to create matchups to get them the ball and be able to create big plays through their abilities."

Loudon opens up the season August 22 at William Blount.
