KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Wide receiver/kick returner Vincent Dallas and reserve offensive lineman Alan Posey are no longer with the Tennessee football team, UT spokesperson Jimmy Stanton confirmed to WVLT Friday afternoon.

Dallas leads the Vols in kick returns. He has 13 returns for 289 yards, an average of 22.2 yards per return.

A junior from Ellenwood, Ga., Dallas took over for the Vols' kickoff duties when Devrin Young broke his hand early in the season.

He also caught 2 passes for 14 yards. He played in 29 games during his Tennessee career.

Stanton did not give a reason for Dallas' departure from the team, but he did say that Dallas plans on remaining in school and will graduate from Tennessee in June.

Reasons were not given for Posey's departure either.

Posey posted the following on his Twitter account (@CozyPosey67) Friday afternoon: "One door closes, another opens. Thank you to everyone who helped has helped me so far. I'm excited to see what God has in store next."

Posey, a redshirt sophomore, played in three games during his time in orange. His debut came his freshman year against Georgia State. He also saw time this season against Austin Peay and Western Kentucky.
