KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT/AP) -- The pursuit for Peyton continued Saturday and it did so in Knoxville.
Tennessee Titans general manager Ruston Webster released a statement Saturday afternoon stating the Titans watched the Volunteer legend workout.
"This morning we traveled to Knoxville and had a workout with Peyton. I thought he looked comfortable throwing the ball and we had a good visit. This is another important step in the process," Ruston said in a release.
After media outlets in Nashville reported that Manning would be working out Saturday morning for the Titans, the scramble to find out where then ensued.
Local 8 News had crews on the UT campus, Johnny Long's Training Academy, and D1, but at each location, there was no sign of Manning or the Titans.
After talking to a number of sources, it's believed Manning worked out at Webb School.
The Titans are a finalist in the Manning sweepstakes as this year's top free agent apparently is now considering Tennessee, Denver and San Francisco.
The quarterback worked out at Duke for the Broncos on Friday and the 49ers on Tuesday night. He has been rehabbing in North Carolina after a string of neck surgeries.
Manning spent eight hours meeting with Tennessee executives in Nashville on Wednesday.
