UT's Harris, Johnson named SEC players of the week

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Tennessee junior forward is the Southeastern Conference player of the week, her third time to receive the honor this season.

The Knoxville native averaged 17 points, 16 rebounds, four assists, two blocks and 1.5 steals in wins against Mississippi State and Arkansas last week.

In the 81-55 victory against the Lady Bulldogs on Thursday, Johnson posted a career-high 22 points, seven assists and four blocks and tied her top performance with 18 rebounds.

In the 72-53 win at Arkansas on Sunday, Johnson recorded her third straight double-double and seventh of the season with 12 points, 14 rebounds and three steals.

The 6-foot-3 Johnson is averaging 11.3 points and 9.6 rebounds for the season and 14.7 points and 10.7 rebounds during the No. 5 Lady Volunteers' 9-0 run in SEC play.
Tennessee forward Tobias Harris is the Southeastern Conference's freshman of the week.

The Dix Hills, N.Y., native averaged 8.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and two steals in the Volunteers' wins over LSU and Mississippi last week.

Harris recorded his sixth double-double of the season in the 75-53 win against LSU on Wednesday with 11 points and 11 rebounds. His 12 rebounds in the 74-57 victory at Ole Miss on Saturday marked the seventh time he's pulled in 10 or more rebounds in a game.

In SEC play, the 6-foot-8 Harris is averaging 14.3 points and 9.7 rebounds for Tennessee (14-7, 4-2). In all games, he's averaging 14.7 points and 7.7 rebounds.
