Vols' fans head to Neyland to see where they'll be sitting

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- University of Tennessee football fans descend on Neyland Stadium to find where they want to sit to watch Butch Jones' first season at the helm of the Volunteers. They can check out open seats, test drive the view, and, if they like what they see, buy 2013 season tickets, which includes games against Georgia, South Carolina, and others.

"It's a special experience to attend a game at Neyland Stadium. This approach allows fans to feel some of that gameday excitement leading up to the season," said Chris Fuller, Senior Associate Athletic Director for Development and External Operations.

Several drawings will also be held throughout the day for new season ticket holders who purchase tickets on Thursday.

But, "Meet Your Seats" day isn't just for Tennessee fans without season tickets. Current donors and season ticket holders are invited to come, and see if they want to upgrade or get more tickets.

Free parking is available on the top level of G10, the parking garage between the stadium and Thompson-Boling Arena off Phillip Fulmer Way. Signs will direct you the rest of the way. You will enter the stadium at Gate 21. The event runs from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
