KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Eric Gordon intercepted a pass by Jordan Rodgers and returned it 90 yards for a touchdown in overtime as Tennessee escaped Vanderbilt with a 27-21 win on Saturday night.

The officials ruled Gordon's knee touched the ball at the Vols 10 but overturned it on review.

A 20-yard touchdown pass from Rodgers to Chris Boyd gave Vanderbilt a 21-14 lead early in the fourth quarter.

The Vols attempted a field goal on fourth-and-goal at the 5 on the next drive, but Sean Richardson was penalized for running into kicker Michael Palardy.

Tennessee went for it on its second chance, and Tyler Bray passed to Da'Rick Rogers to tie it at 21 with 6:27 to play.

Vanderbilt (5-6, 2-6 Southeastern Conference) was favored by a point, but Tennessee (5-6, 1-6) has now won 28 of the last 29 in the series.
