Good Morning and Happy St. Patrick's Day!
We are dealing with scattered showers and storms throughout today, but the good news -- it's not a washout, but you may be dodging a few rain drops.
You're getting out the door to wet roads from rain overnight at 48 degrees, so it's not too bad to get the day started. It'll be a good idea to grab and pack the umbrella and keep it handy today, so you're prepared when the rain hits. You can expect to see storms and showers on and off for the first part of the day. That'll taper off, giving us a little break from the rain the second half of your day. It'll be pretty dry and breezy this afternoon with some peaks of sunshine reaching 74 degrees. It'll feel nice out there!
Let's stay prepared because showers and storms are back tonight. There is also the chance for a strong to severe storm, mainly in NE Tennessee, but we could also see that in the Valley. The greatest threat will be damaging winds and the potential for hail. We are looking at another warmer overnight low of 48 degrees.
Tomorrow will start cloudy but that'll turn into sunshine in the afternoon. It'll be a pretty pleasant day topping off around 61 degrees.
Not too shabby to start the new week! It's 63 degrees Monday with the chance for an isolated shower.
We will start to see some cooler air in the middle of next week with highs back in the upper 40s and overnight lows in the 30s.
Have a great day!
