Alcoa High School cancels all basketball games until Dec. 7

School officials said the decision was made out of an abundance of caution.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Alcoa High School announced all basketball games have been canceled due to COVID-19 concerns.

Basketball games will be suspended through Dec. 7.

School officials said the decision was made out of “an abundance of extreme caution and in the best interest of our players and fans.”

Alcoa basketball will return on Dec. 7 when the team hosts Grainger County High School at 6 p.m.
