KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Tennessee baseball is off to its best start in conference play since 2001. With Sunday’s two walk-off wins, the Vols are now a perfect 5-0 in extra inning games this season.

While fans can point to great coaching and clutch play, UT also has a not-so-secret weapon at home games this year.

They’re calling themselves the Legends of Lindsey Nelson and they’re making life miserable for anyone within earshot.

“There’s no art to it, it just comes to your head,” said junior Jake Koller. He and some friends decided to go to a game on a whim a few weeks ago. When they started chirping opposing players and getting a reaction out of them, Koller and his buddies knew they were on to something.

“We hope we get a reaction. Sometimes they act like they can’t hear us. As soon as we get a reaction we just keep going at them because we know they can hear us,” said Koller.

The Legends will be back in their usual spot along the first base line Tuesday when Western Carolina comes to town.
