Warm to slightly cooler this week
As the rain moves on for Sunday, the new week starts off warm, but cooler air follows by the middle of the week.
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Now that the rain in gone, we’re left with a beautiful second half to the weekend.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Spotty showers will taper off overnight. By sunrise, we should see just a mixture of sun and clouds. Lows will start off in the lower 50s.
After a stray morning shower Sunday, we’ll see a return to sunshine and a bit of a southwest breeze. Winds could gust to around 20 mph at times. Highs will reach the lower 70s.
The first part of the new work week looks fairly warm! Just like this past Friday, highs will make a run at 80 degrees on Monday. By Tuesday, we’ll start adding a few more clouds and just a spotty shower chance. Highs will still be warm in the low to mid 70s.
As the weak cold front sweeps the area late Tuesday, that leaves the rest of the week fairly quiet and a bit cooler. Highs will dip into the mid to upper 60s all the way through Friday.
The next decent opportunity for rain arrives for the second half of the next weekend.
