The ladder could become ‘official state tool’ of Tennessee

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Tennessee lawmakers are expected to vote Monday on whether to make the ladder the “official state tool.”

House Bill 930 was filed in February by Representative Chris Hurt. The Senate version of the bill, SB 925, is scheduled for a vote Tuesday.

The bill states the ladder would be “designed as the official state tool.”

- In 1971, the raccoon was adopted as Tennessee’s official wild animal.
