KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Knoxville faith leaders partnered with the University of Tennessee to host a COVID-19 vaccine clinic.

The clinic will take place Wednesday, April 14 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“It’s an alarming state of affairs and we must do something about it. As the Faith Leaders plan to pray, this COVID-19 is a killer itself,” said Vice Mayor Gwen McKenzie.

No appointments are needed for individuals to be vaccinated. Leaders said they plan to vaccinate more than 1,000 people during the clinic.

“Who would have thought that the cancellation of J&J vaccine would once again bring citizens, black and white, people of color and others together to save each other’s lives,” said Cynthia J. Finch, Co-Host of the Faith Leaders Initiative.
