KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The University of Tennessee announced appointments are still available for its public COVID-19 vaccination clinic.

The clinic will be held on Friday, April 16.

Participants will receive their first dose of the Moderna vaccine. UT officials advised people not to register if they have already received the first dose of another COVID vaccine.

Appointments will be available for the second dose on May 14. After participants receive their first dose, they will be signed up for their second.

UT said, people who will not be in Knoxville on May 14 will likely be able to schedule their second dose at a local vaccination site.

Individuals must be 18 or older to schedule an appointment since the university is administering only the Moderna vaccine.
