KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -The Knoxville Police Department has identified the suspect in a shooting at Victor Ashe Park.

Police said 22-year-old Devon Farris turned himself in just before midnight on April 20 and was booked on two counts of aggravated assault in connection to the shooting.

According to KPD, officers responded to a shooting incident at the park Monday around 12:10 p.m. Officials said, based on a preliminary investigation, the shooting occurred following a dispute over a financial matter between two parties turning physical.

KPD said in a release, as one party attempted to leave the scene, Farris several rounds at the victims’ vehicle.

No victims were struck by the gunfire and no injuries were reported.

Farris has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault.
