WARREN COUNTY, KY (WVLT) - An investigation is underway after the body of a missing Nashville man was found in Kentucky.

Detectives said 32-year-old Patrick Jamal Washington was found shot to death in a grassy area off the shoulder of Interstate 65 in Warren County, Kentucky.

Washington was reported missing on Monday. Police said hours after he was reported missing, his Jeep was found abandoned on the shoulder of I-65 South.

According to reports, the Jeep had bullet holes and visible blood.

Investigators said they believe Washington was killed in the area his vehicle was discovered and driven to Kentucky.

Authorities said they are currently pursuing leads.
