CLINTON, Tenn. (WVLT) - A fashion event is taking place in an outdoor setting with Anderson County Fashion Weekend at the Little Ponderosa Zoo. The event is two evenings, May 14 and 15, with proceeds benefiting the zoo and its animal rehabilitation efforts.

Adam Stair of The Stair Agency is organizing the event. “I used to work at the Little Ponderosa Zoo and Rescue. I worked there 12 years,” said the Anderson County native. “And then I have this agency. So I’m just like why don’t I tie them together and put animal designs in a runway show to help the zoo? It just all ties in together for me.”

The event near Clinton runs from 6:30 to 8:00 each evening.

Volunteer Carol Crabtree at the Little Ponderosa said she’s glad to see the community supporting efforts to care for the animals. She said the animals don’t need any extra adornment for the event, although it’s all about fashion. “They are so beautiful in their natural state.”
