KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Knoxville Police Department is investigating after three people were shot Thursday in East Knoxville.
According to KPD, officers responded to a reported shooting in the 2200 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue around 3:20 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered two men in the area suffering from gunshot wounds.
Both victims were transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.
While officers were processing the scene, a third man arrived at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center suffering from gunshot wounds. His injuries are also not believed to be life-threatening, according to KPD.
KPD said the circumstances of the shooting are unknown at this time.
