Tennessee selected as potential NCAA Baseball Tournament host site

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Tennessee’s Lindsey Nelson Stadium is among the 20 sites that have been approved to host the NCAA Regionals and Super Regionals for baseball this season.

The 16 regional sites and eight super regional sites will come from the 20 approved locations and will be revealed on Monday, May 31 during the NCAA selection show.

The Vols are ranked as high as No. 4 in the national polls and are No. 8 in the latest RPI rankings. Tennseess is tied with Arkansas for first in the SEC.

If selected, UT would be hosting the tournament for the first time since 2005.
