KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Tony Vitello’s baseball Vols dropped two of three games to #1 Arkansas over the weekend, but they were hard fought games with Tennessee losing by only a run each time.

As a result, UT holds steady in the latest polls, in fact, the Volunteers are up a spot to No.4 in the USA Today Coaches Top-25.

Tennessee will host Belmont Tuesday night at 6:30 before closing out the regular season with a three game series at South Carolina beginning Thursday night. Games one and two will be streamed on SEC Network+ while Saturday’s series finale will be broadcast on the SEC Network.

Tuesday will be the final regular-season home game for the Vols this season. Tennessee is 25-9 at Lindsey Nelson Stadium this season, including a 16-3 record against non-conference foes.

The Vols enter Tuesday’s game with a 21-4 record in non-conference play this season with a 10-2 mark in midweek games. Since the start of the 2019 season, UT is 62-11 against non-conference opposition. They are also an impressive 38-7 in midweek games since Vitello took over as head coach in 2018.
