Man in custody after fleeing from Knox Co. deputies attempting to serve warrant

Officials said Hamilton Jr. has warrants for aggravated stalking, coercion of a witness, several violations of conditional release and manufacturing & distribution of schedule 1 drugs.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Officials with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office said a wanted man is in custody after fleeing from deputies Monday morning.

According to KCSO, Anthony Jerome Hamilton Jr., 26, fled on foot when Detectives arrived at a residence he was staying at near Central High School to serve multiple warrants.

Officials said Hamilton Jr. has warrants for aggravated stalking, coercion of a witness, several violations of conditional release and manufacturing & distribution of schedule 1 drugs.

Hamilton was taken into custody Monday afternoon at Shannondale Road & Tazewell Pike. Officials said charges against Hamilton are pending.
