Kamal Hadden undergoes season-ending surgery

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Two days before Tennessee takes on Kentucky in Lexington, the Vols were dealt a serious blow to their secondary.

Redshirt Senior Kamal Hadden announced via Instagram that he has undergone season-ending surgery. Hadden exited the Vols’ 34-20 loss to Alabama in the second qiarter.

Hadden led the Vols in interceptions with three. He’s the only Tennessee player with multiple interceptions this season. A pick six against South Carolina and a game-sealing interception against Texas A&M have provided two of the highlights of Tennessee’s 2023 campaign.

Hadden’s 19 tackles are tied for the fourth most by Tennessee defensive backs this season.
