Casey Wheeless is an Emmy and Associated Press award winning journalist who co-anchors WVLT News This Morning alongside Harry Sullivan Monday through Friday from 4:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Originally from Texas, Casey spent most of her childhood in Ohio. She says being in East Tennessee is the perfect mix for her.
She graduated from the University of Kentucky, where she reported for ESPN-U and did a little bit of everything at the UK Student News Network.
Casey also interned for Texas Monthly Magazine, in Austin, TX. WTOL-TV in Toledo, OH and CoachCal.com in Lexington.
After college she landed her first reporting and anchoring job at WBKO in Bowling Green, KY.
In her free time you'll catch Casey outside usually exploring a trail in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
