Jacob Durham is originally from Salisbury, North Carolina and attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where he graduated in 2019 with a degree in Meteorology and a minor in mathematics. His first job came as the weekend Meteorologist in Lake Charles, Louisiana where he had the opportunity to cover numerous amounts of severe weather as well as one of the strongest hurricanes to hit the state. He loves to spend my time outdoors taking hikes, playing golf and doing some fishing. He's looking forward to exploring the mountains and learning of the diverse climates of Eastern Tennessee and Southeastern Kentucky.

Our dry weather is coming to an end as we head overnight and into Sunday with scattered showers and downpours making a return after midnight tonight and into Sunday. Keep the rain gear handy for much of Sunday as temperatures remain close to average, but some of the rain will transition to snow showers for the higher elevations heading into Monday.
