“If you want to accomplish anything worthwhile, you have to be willing to work harder than anyone else.”
That's a motto Caleb Noe, a WVLT News Sports Anchor/Reporter, lives by.
As a young kid, Caleb regularly pulled all-nighters using his family’s home camcorder to create “sports broadcasts.” Now, he does that for a living (including the all-nighters).
Caleb made stops at WYMT-TV in Eastern Kentucky where he worked as a News Reporter, and at WLFI-TV in West Lafayette, Indiana where he served as a Sports Anchor/Reporter, before making the move to Knoxville.
He has been named a finalist for eight Associated Press awards in Indiana and Kentucky, and won four of them.
Caleb was born & raised in Mt. Washington, Kentucky, a sports-crazed town just south of Louisville. He graduated from Bullitt East High School, where he played five sports, football, soccer, basketball, track, and cross country.
He later graduated from the University of Pikeville, where he was a kicker and punter for the football team. He once hit 3/3 field goals (40, 37, 29) and made three touchdown-saving tackles in the same game.
Caleb spent five years working at various radio stations from Arkansas to Kentucky as an on-air talent and sports play-by-play broadcaster. He also interned at three different television stations during college.
He says his heroes are his parents, "For everything they've done for me, and my brother, for being the most naturally talented, cool, and funny person I know."
He is thrilled to be on Rocky Top covering the Vols and other local sports. If you see him in your town, make sure to say hey!
