KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Emerald Youth Foundation announced during its annual fundraising breakfast it is partnering with area health care providers to open a health center.

Emerald Youth is working with the University of Tennessee Medical Center and Cherokee Health Systems to build the new center.
The new health center will open in the Lonsdale community and be housed in the Lonsdale Area Ministry Complex, which is currently under construction.
Officials with the Emerald Youth Foundation said the center will also provide healthcare nutrition information for the community.
The announcement was made by Emerald Youth Foundation board member Dr. Keith Gray.
