(GATLINGBURG) - While the tube runs remained busy during a warm weather snap, the ski hills were deserted and closed at Ober Gatlinburg. But now - five ski routes are back open at the Gatlinburg hotspot.
We sent our new meteorologist - and skiing rookie - Ben Cathey to talk to the experts on top of the mountain.
This snow is all man-made, with the snow guns pumping out up to 500-gallons-worth of snow per minute.
The snow base is 24-36" deep, and the park closes at 10:00 p.m. Fridays.
