(WVLT) -- Abigail Disney, who's the granddaughter of Walt Disney says Disney CEO Bob Iger's "insane" salary has a "corrosive effect on society". With yearly compensation around $65.6 million dollars, that's 1,424 times what the median Disney employee makes.
Now Abigail says, she does indeed like Iger and the leadership he gives her grandfather's company, but she adds, any CEO making over 1,000 times the average median salary of their workers is overpaid.
Abigail says, she herself is too wealthy and should be taxed at a higher rate. Walt Disney's granddaughter finished her tweet by saying, "anyone who contributes to the success of a profitable company and who works full time to do so should not go hungry, should not ration insulin, and should not have to sleep in a car."
