PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Anyone looking for a job is invited to attend the 19th Annual Sevier County Job Fair, coming up Wednesday, March 23 at the Holiday Inn Convention Center in Pigeon Forge.
The Sevier County Economic Development Council is coordinating the job fair, which runs from 10:00 am-4:00 pm that day. The county, along with the City of Gatlinburg, City of Pigeon Forge, and City of Sevierville are all hosts.
“We feel that the Job Fair is one of those win-win situations that you hear about but rarely see. We are glad to play a part in helping anyone who is looking for a job and any business that is looking for employees," said Rick Harrell, chairman of the SCEDC.
Businesses from all over Sevier County will be looking to fill positions. More than 65 companies are expected to attend the fair, including CDE Senior Services, Dominion Senior Living, Blalock Companies, Federal-Mogul, Funderburk Electrical Services, Jmayes Enterprises, Ka Tom Restaurant Supply, Lisega, Mannon Specialty Foods, OTICS USA, T-DOT, and Tusculum College.
Part-time, seasonal, and full-time employment is available in industries ranging from healthcare, to food service, hospitality, entertainment, retail, and city government.
A state career coach will also be on site all day to assist people with resume writing and interviewing skills. People who have a resume should bring copies; applications will also be available on site. Come dressed for success and expect to conduct interviews.
