3 minors among 6 charged in fatal robbery in Tennessee

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Police in Tennessee say three minors are among six people charged with first-degree murder in a fatal robbery in Memphis.

News outlets report 35-year-old Xavier Shotwell was shot to death while he was sitting in his truck in a parking lot early Friday.

Memphis police said the suspects were arrested later during a traffic stop. The three adults charged with first-degree murder, carjacking and other charges were identified as 19-year-old Marcus Brown, 23-year-old Demetrius Harris and 21-year-old Carlos Craft. They were being held in the Shelby County Jail. It wasn’t immediately known whether they had attorneys.

The minors, ages 13, 14 and 15, also face murder charges.
