5 things to know this morning

(WVLT) -- Here are the top five stories from Local 8 News to get you out the door this morning:

1. KCSO charges woman who allegedly fatally shot boyfriend

The Knox County Sheriff's Office has arrested a woman they say fatally shot her boyfriend early Saturday.

The victim, identified as 30-year-old Cody James Sustman of Knoxville, was pronounced dead at the scene.

2. Mom of UT student who dies after boxing: 'He is safe in the arms of Jesus'

The mother of a University of Tennessee student, who police said collapsed at Boxing Weekend and later died, said he is safe in the arms of Jesus.

According to the Knoxville Police Department, Joseph Tanner Wray, died of cardiac arrest after participating in the Ace Miller Boxing Tournament.

3. Anderson Co. Sheriff searching for Clinton homicide suspect

According to the Anderson County Sheriff's Department, deputies responded to a shooting at 611 Sinking Springs Road near Clinton Thursday evening around 8:30 p.m.

When they arrived, they found that 48-year-old Bradley Charles Bivens of Clinton had been shot and killed. Officials are still searching for the suspect.

4. Volunteers nurture relationship with community at Beardsley Farm

About 200 people came with their garden gloves in hand to Beardsley Farm near Knoxville College Saturday.

The farm's monthly work day allows the community to help the non-profit make a difference.

5. Admirers salute Billy Graham as motorcade crosses N Carolina

Admirers took photos on their phones, fire trucks parked on freeway overpasses and police officers saluted as a motorcade carrying the body of the Rev. Billy Graham crossed the evangelist’s beloved home state of North Carolina for four hours Saturday from his mountain chapel to namesake library in the state’s largest city.
