1.Weekend backups begin on Knoxville interstates

TDOT crews continued bridge work between West Hills mile marker 380 and the I-640 interchange mile marker 385. The work began Friday night at 8:00 p.m. with plans to end on Monday at 6:00 a.m.

2.HOW TO WATCH: The Vols take on Loyola-Chicago

The BasketVols look to advance to their eighth Sweet Sixteen in program history on Saturday, March 17, at 6:10 p.m., as they face Loyola-Chicago in a second-round matchup at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.

The No. 3 seeded Vols (26-8) claimed a share of the SEC Regular-Season Championship after they were picked to finish 13th by select media during the preseason.

3. HOW TO WATCH: Lady Vols play Oregon State in NCAA Tournament

Tennessee (24-7), the number 3 seed in the Lexington Regional, hosts Oregon State, number 6, in the Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville. The game was set for 2 p.m. EST on Sunday, on air on ESPN2.

4. State: Voicemail about cracks 2 days before bridge fell

An engineer left a voicemail two days before a catastrophic bridge failure in Miami to say some cracking had been found at one end of the concrete span, but the voicemail wasn’t picked up until after the collapse, Florida Department of Transportation officials said Friday.

5. Dollywood Opens for the Season with Festival of Nations

Dollywood’s show-stopping entertainment in 2018 welcomes the park’s annual Festival of Nations. The new season starts off with a multi-cultural event featuring world-renowned talent.
