Mobile Meals collecting gifts for Knox County seniors

KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Mobile Meals is getting into the spirit of the season by helping out seniors in Knox County.

Every year, the organization provides gifts to seniors on Christmas Day. According to a press release, the gifts given by Mobile Meals may be the only ones the seniors receive.

The organization is able to give the presents through donations and is accepting donations through Dec. 12.

Mobile Meals asks that anyone who wishes to donate should fill a medium size gift bag, approximately 13-inches by 11-inches, with items. For a list on gift ideas, go here.

The gift bags can be dropped off at the Office on Aging at 2247 Western Avenue, Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. and at Grayson Suburu at 879 Kingston Pike, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
