Shooting suspect's vehicle found in Blount County, suspect still at large

KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Knox County Sheriff's Office is searching for a suspect who is believed to be armed and dangerous after reports of a shooting in Karns.

An update from KCSO said the Alcoa Police Department and the Blount County Sheriff's Office located the suspect's vehicle at an apartment complex in Blount County. The suspect, however, has not been located.

KCSO said it is searching for an early 2000 model Infiniti G35 white sedan with black wheels.

According to a release from the sheriff's office, officials were called out to Sweeping Rain Lane at around 9:08 p.m. to investigate shots fired. KCSO said there were no injuries, but the incident was not random and is under investigation.

Do not approach the vehicle if you see it. Call 911 with the location and do not attempt to follow.

"The suspect is believed to be armed and dangerous," the authorities said.
