KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Reptiles of every shape and size are invading Knoxville -- but just for the weekend.

"We're not looking to force them on you, but it's a way to get exposed. If you go to the zoo, you don't get to interact with the animals," said Tristan Kaylor.

Kaylor is a local who breeds geckos. "I started here three years ago with one table."

Kaylor is just one of many vendors at Repticon. "What they are buying here is legal, and you can actually own them here in Tennessee."

But Repticon is more than a pet show. "There's going to be a lot of reptiles for purchase or just interaction."

Everyone is welcome, but Kaylor said he loves letting kids meet his animals and seeing them interact with reptiles. "That's what drives me and gets me up every day and keeps me going, is seeing those kids and their passion."

If you want to check out snakes and other reptiles, you can do it all weekend at the Kerbela Shriners Temple in South Knoxville. Go here for more information.
