KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Basic obedience for your dog can be challenging to enforce. That's why dog training classes taught by professionals can benefit both you and your pooch.
My Curious Canine brought out many pups and their owners to Ijams Nature Center Sunday, April 21 to learn some basic obedience lessons, like sit, stay, come and leave it.
Hanna Boyer is the owner and head dog trainer at My Curious Canine. She said this is their second year having lessons at Ijams Nature Center.
Each class is one hour, and they teach six lessons of basic obedience every weekend. Boyer said if you are not able to take six lessons in a row, they are flexible with changing schedules.
"You can take six lessons six weeks in a row or you can mix it up. We do them April to November so there's plenty of time to make sure you're getting in all six lessons," Boyer said.
