Tennessee Center for Reproductive Acupuncture is new to East Tennessee.

Sarah Prater, L.Ac., opened the center about a month ago bringing her 8 years experience to hopefully help women dealing with a variety of reproductive situations.

Acupuncture treatment is offered to women trying to conceive naturally or wanting to increase the success of IVF, IUI or other fertility treatments.

"We see increased pregnancy rates. There's been a considerable amount of research on IVF and acupuncture, showing an increase in pregnancy results," said Prater.

The center also offers prenatal acupuncture as an effective way to help treat many of the common symptoms during pregnancy. Acupuncture can be used to help with morning sickness, fatigue, back pain, headaches, labor preparation.

Prater said she works closely with her patient's and their doctors to figure out the best treatment options. Prater said acupuncture can also help with various reproductive conditions, endometriosis is just one example.
