LOUISVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- UPDATE:
TBI agents are investigating an officer involved shooting in Blount County.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said Blount County deputies were called to a domestic violence complaint at a Manor Way apartment in Louisville early Saturday morning.

TBI said 21-year-old Robert L. Fann III barricaded himself inside his apartment. Law enforcement tried to negotiate with him for hours Saturday to get him to come outside, but said he showed no willingness to cooperate.

TBI said after attempts to get him to come out, he came to the door of his apartment armed with a gun. After agents ordered him to drop the gun, he pointed it at the Blount County SWAT Team.

TBI said two deputies fired shots, and Fann went back inside his apartment.

TBI said a little while later, they heard a single gunshot from inside the apartment. The SWAT Team went inside, and found Fann dead.

An autopsy will be performed on Fann's body.
