BCSO searching for missing 16-year-old girl

MARYVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Blount County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in the search for a missing 16-year-old girl.

Kaylee A. Monks, of Maryville, has been missing for a week. She is described as 5-feet-4-inches tall, weighs 120 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes. She has a tattoo of an elephant on her ankle as well as a belly button and nose piercing.

According to a release from the sheriff's office, they do not believe she is in danger at this time; however, her family has not heard from her since November 30. She may be traveling with friends to see family out of state.
