(WVLT) -- One school district is New Jersey has decided to ban the use of limousines and luxury cars to get their students to prom.

The Lakeland Regional High School administration sent a letter to parents that says prom attendees must take school-provided and chaperoned coach buses to and from the venue this spring.

The School's Superintendent says it's a matter of safety and equality for all students. He says the chaperoned "party buses" will cost just $15 a student to ride in to the prom.
