(CBS/WVLT) - "The Big Bang Theory" will sign off after 12 seasons with a special one-hour finale on May 16th. The cast took some time backstage to reminisce about some of their favorite moments and guest stars from the show.
“I’ve been asked the question of favorite episodes or most memorable episodes a lot lately," said Johnny Galecki, who plays Leonard Hofstadter. "It’s very difficult because they all kind of melt into one experience or one memory.”
Simon Helberg also weighed in on his memories of playing Howard Wolowitz.
“Some of my most memorable scenes, again the pilot," he said. "I will just always remember standing outside the door, just so nervous and so excited.”
“We’ve had so many incredible guest stars," added Kaley Cuoco, who plays Penny Hofstadter. "(William) Shatner, (Joe) Manganiello, Kevin Smith. Wil Wheaton. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.”
“I loved Amy & Sheldon’s first kiss, which was on a train," said Amy Farrah Fowler actress, Mayam Bialik.
“There’s so many episodes that I will carry with me always," added Melissa Rauch, who plays Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz. "I remember the first time Bob Newhart was here. Even though I didn’t have any scenes with him, just having him on set was so exciting.”
Jim Parsons had a tough time narrowing it down to just one memory of his character, Sheldon Cooper. Instead, he focused on how meaningful the relationships are to him.
“Some of the more obvious and even silly ones or simple ones," Parsons said. "But a love relationship in the form of Amy that certainly changed my life.”
“I’m a sucker for all the emotional stuff that’s happened on the show," said Kunal Nayyar, who plays Rajesh Koothrappali. "The whole universe that comes with putting this together, I’m really going to miss.”
The final episodes of "The Big Bang Theory" will air Thursdays at 8:00 p.m. on WVLT/CBS. Even after the series ends, syndicated episodes of the show will continue to run seven days a week at 7:00 p.m. on WBXX, The CW Knoxville.
