NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A new bill seeks to make Tennessee's hourly minimum wage $15 an hour.

SB 1788 would increase the minimum from $7.25 to $15 and was introduced by Senator Sara Kyle (D-Memphis).
It was filed on Wednesday and passed first consideration on Thursday, WJHL reported.
