"Her daughter misses her," says family of missing Blount Co. woman

BLOUNT CO., Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Blount County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in the search for a missing woman.

22-year-old Cheyenne Tonisha Shropshire was last seen on August 24.

Investigators say her family has not heard from her since, and it is not like her to not reach out to her 2 year-old daughter or other family members.

"She really only had access to WiFi because her phone wasn't cut on," her brother-in-law Austin Buhl said. "We were use to not talking to us for a couple of days but not contacting her daughter or anybody for three weeks is a big deal."

He says she had her problems but tried to do what was right for her daughter.

"I think she was mixed up in the wrong crowd," Buhl said. "I do know that she was trying the best that she could."

Buhl says right now the family is trying to stay positive.

"I'm hoping shes just hiding somewhere, but my biggest fear is that she's in the water somewhere or something's happened to her," Buhl said.

Since she's been gone for so long her daughters starting to wonder.

"Come home soon your daughter misses you," Buhl said.

Anyone who has any information is asked to reach out to the sheriff's office at 865-273-5001 or 865-273-5200.
