NC rescue gets thousands asking about bonded donkey and emu

(WVLT) -- Are you looking for some new pets? We may have found the pair just for you.

Jack and Diane are just two animals growing up at Carolina Waterfowl Rescue in North Carolina, and they are up for adoption; however, the pair are bonded and must be adopted together.

According to the rescue, Jack doesn't like other donkeys, and Diane doesn't like other emus. They only like each other.

"We are excited to introduce Jack and Diane," the shelter wrote on Facebook. "A story where two creatures with different looks, backgrounds and even breeds learn to stand together, protect each other and love."

On Friday, the rescue announced that they had received thousands of inquiries about the pair since they posted their picture.
