(WVLT)- The Vols were off on Saturday so Butch Jones took a trip to the set of the CBS College Football Special. Coach Jones fielded questions about Thursday's game. From execution on offense to the problems at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Appalachian state proved to be a valid opponent. Coach Jones told the crew they'll use these extra days to adjust.
"It's fixable. That's why you practice and we'll get back to work at it tomorrow. As we know, we're going to be challenged game in and game out. I think the next thing in our evolution of our program is our players understanding is every team is going to play their best against the University of Tennessee," said Jones.
Jones said he was impressed with how the Vols approached Friday's practice.
" I really wanted to see the look on the players on when they came to work on Friday. I really liked what I saw, but again I think the evolution from game one to game two is critical for us and I'm excited to see our players approach," he said.
The Thursday night game gives the Vols a few extra days to prepare for the Battle at Bristol next Saturday against Virginia Tech.
