Bitter cold to warm and rainy

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The arctic air is here through mid-week, but while temperatures will warm-up, rain will also move in.

We started Wednesday with temperatures in the teens to a low of 20 degrees in Knoxville.

We're sticking with temperatures that are about 20 degrees below normal! It feels a few degrees colder at times too.

And given all the rain that we have had over the past several weeks, puddles that freeze could lead to icy patches. Watch out for black ice on driveways and parking lots.

Surely, this winter pattern cannot last forever. Look for a warm-up, back into the 60s by this upcoming weekend with sadly, more rain opportunities.
