Cat found frozen, covered in ice revived by veterinarians

KALISPELL, Mont. (CBS) -- A cat in Montana that was found "essentially frozen" and covered in snow was revived by veterinarians at an animal clinic.

The cat, named Fluffy, was brought to the Animal Clinic of Kalispell by its owners after being buried in snow.

Fluffy's body temperature didn't register on the clinic's thermometers at first, so the staff at the clinic used cage warmers, towels, and intravenous fluids in the cat's recovery.

CBS Missoula affiliate KPAX-TV reported veterinarian Dr. China Corum cared for the cat until she began to revive after hours of treatment.

"Her temperature was very low but after many hours she recovered and is now completely normal," the clinic wrote on Facebook. "Fluffy is amazing!"
