The Golden Age Comics, New Krypton Comics and Comics Exchange have teamed up to help evacuees in a unique way. They are offering free comic books to children from the Carolinas.

"Everyone is putting stuff out for the adults but the kids kind of get forgotten. and it has to be very scary," David Laney of Golden Age Comics told our crew. "Just to reassure them that there are still heroes and some are in these books."

Randy Cross of New Krypton Comics said, "We are a comic book store, so we don't have food, we don't have water, we don't have clothes, but we have comic books coming out of our ears."

"Comic books tell stories of heroes and characters who face impossible odds and cataclysmic events, and I think Hurricane Florence falls into that category." said Fred Dailey of Comics Exchange.

The comic stores also tell us that anyone can help out by donating comic books or even small toys that would go to any children evacuees that come in.
